Koalafi
Koalafi, a financial firm, needed to consolidate locations and accommodate growth. ENV was tapped to create their new Richmond location in downtown Manchester to accommodate over 300 employees, taking three consecutive floors within The Current, a new building by Lynx Ventures.
Koalafi’s top floor includes a reception with moss feature wall that overlooks downtown Richmond with adjacent conferencing, a break room including a full kitchen with a commercial-grade stove, and a roof-top terrace with outdoor seating.
Break Rooms include game tables and a variety of seating including booths and communal tables with power capabilities. While the architectural finishes are neutral throughout, the furniture and applied finishes reflect the brand colors, adding interest through sliding perforated felt panels and upholsteries that ode to Koalafi’s recent re-brand.
Each floor includes a large collaborative area for impromptu meetings and flexible work environments. Hoteling stations were also placed on each floor to accommodate visitors and remote workers. Open bench workstations were strategically placed along the perimeter of the building for optimum daylight access and views of the Richmond skyline across the James River. Offices were built to be the same size as huddles so they can be interchangeable.
